Our extra-curricular highlights

Debating and public speaking
Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have the chance to compete in local and state events. In both 2024 and 2025, we have had students compete in the State final of the NSW Multicultural Public Speaking Competition. Our debating team is a very competitive force, and are current local area champions. Our school also has three students representing us in the Grand Final of the Central Coast Public Speaking Competition to be held in late October.

Creative and performing arts
Our drama, music and art programs help students be creative and express themselves. Gosford Public School participates in opportunities such as the Central Coast Choral Festival and Central Coast Dance Showcase. We have three talented school bands (catering for all levels of musicians), guided by the Central Coast Conservatorium of Music.

Trips, excursions and incursions
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world.
